Modern Slavery

Modern Slavery Act Statement:

Introduction
Emerald Global Limited prides itself on being a professional and ethical company ensuring it conducts its business in accordance with its obligations under 54 (1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Our commitment
We recognise that we have a legal obligation and an ethical responsibility to support this Act and endeavour to ensure there are no modern slavery risks within our own business or our supply chains.

Modern slavery
Modern slavery is a form of organised crime in which victims are treated as commodities and exploited for criminal gain. The International Labour Organisation estimates that 40 million people were victims of modern slavery across the globe in 2016.

Organisation structure & activities
Emerald Global Limited is a travel agency with over 40 years experience delivering travel solutions for individuals and groups, leisure and commercial in areas of B2B & B2C. Our workplace policies and procedures demonstrate our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships.

Our policies & practices
As a result, we operate a rigorous recruitment and selection process for all our job roles. This includes obtaining documented proof of an individual’s right to work in the country in which they will be employed. We operate an open-door communication policy should a concern arise and we also provide a protected disclosure facility if a staff member requires confidentiality.
We also ensure that our employees are aware of the Act, and the definitions of slavery and human trafficking as well as knowing what to do if they suspect a case of slavery or human trafficking. We also only work with reputable suppliers, most of whom we have partnered with for many years, and we take responsibility for ensuring our supply chains are clean of slave labour.
